BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, UK

BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) is a worldwide community-based socio-spiritual organisation. It is dedicated to fulfilling the spiritual, cultural, and social needs of people by providing practical means for attaining inner peace and harmony between individuals, within families, and amongst communities.

Recognised internationally for its humanitarian services, BAPS is closely affiliated with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

In the UK, BAPS is respected as one of the largest and most active Hindu organisations among the Indian diaspora. It is especially known for the internationally acclaimed BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, London.

BAPS is guided and inspired by its spiritual leader, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Diabetes UK

Diabetes UK – set up in 1934 by two diabetics, HG Wells and Dr RD Lawrence – is the largest organisation in the UK working for people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and helping people lives with the condition. The organisation has in excess of 170,000 representing the interests of people with diabetes by lobbying the government for better standards of care and the best quality of life. Diabetes UK spends up to £6.5 million on research every year to improve the treatment of diabetes and has a vision to ultimately finding a cure for diabetes.
